Natalie and Brian were having a small wedding ceremony with a larger backyard reception, to which many more of their friends and family would be invited than the actual ceremony. As a result they wanted to create two invitations–a larger one that would showcase all the fun things there would be at the reception and a smaller one that would be sent to a limited number of guests who would be attending their ceremony. Being animal lovers, the couple liked the idea of having their three cats invite guests to the reception, and they wanted the invitation to feel fun, incorporating elements that guests would find at the reception. The wedding ceremony invitation features a drawing of the house where the ceremony would take place, as well as a visual of the couple’s fourth cat, who had recently passed away. The invitations were screenprinted in two colors, and the couple chose envelopes with a coordinating orange flap to match the orange highlights on the invitations. A matching wedding certificate was also created for the couple.
